Video: What does the future hold for Saudi Arabia’s construction sector?

For Construction Week’s third part of its webinar series with global construction and energy law specialists Fenwick Elliott, we discuss the outlook for Saudi Arabia’s built environment.

Senior exec leaves Saudi construction giant amid $15bn debt struggle

Financial difficulties at the company started after a deadly 2015 accident in Makkah resulted in Saudi Binladin being banned from taking on new projects for about eight months.

Joining the panel was Fenwick Elliott’s lead partner for Saudi Arabia, Toby Randle, and Hammad Al-Mehdar partner Ali Ali Touki.

Randle explains how the “kingdom won’t be held down from its ambitions” towards Vision 2030, while Ali Touki says despite expecting many challenges, he remains optimistic for a successful future in the kingdom.
