Kautschitz tells Construction Week that it’s important to prioritise health and place it “above everything else” in these unprecedented times.
“The Expo will be seen as a restart in connecting the world in all regards,” Kautschitz says, while commenting on the year-long postponement on the World Expo.
He adds: “The postponement even benefits Expomobilia, which has long-term experience already at Expo 2020 Dubai in terms of requirements and regulations to follow. This will be helpful for new countries entering the Expo now, who haven’t yet decided to participate. We are very happy to support them.”
Talking about the progress on the construction of the Norway Pavilion, Kautschitz adds: “The Norway Pavilion, which looks like a ship, is a really wonderful project. We are very proud of the fact that we were awarded this project. At this moment, approximately 80% of the works are done.
“We have finalised the steel structure. We are covering now the envelope of the pavilion. We have started with the roof panels, and more.”
