A new hub designed to empower young Emirati entrepreneurs has officially launched at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The ‘Emirati District,’ spearheaded by the Federal Youth Authority in collaboration with the Fatima bint Mohammed bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI), marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s National Youth Agenda 2031.
This initiative aims to position Emirati youth as global role models while supporting their access to international markets.
Strategically located between Concourses B and C in Terminal 3, the Emirati District is set to attract an estimated six to seven million travellers annually.
The space serves as a launchpad for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in high-growth sectors, providing entrepreneurs with specialised training programmes focused on business management and enhancing their competitiveness in local and global markets.
The district’s debut features four flagship projects by promising Emirati entrepreneurs:
- Amadal by Afnan Bushalat: A concept offering products that evoke a sense of home
- Mira Farms by FBMI: A social enterprise that empowers underprivileged communities, particularly female farmers, by providing international market access for their natural produce
- Nuwa by Abdulaziz Al-Jabri: A brand celebrating the UAE’s agricultural heritage through high-quality products made from locally sourced ingredients
- From the Arab by Alyazi Almheiri: A luxury home fragrance brand reintroducing traditional Arabic scents to modern homes worldwide
The Emirati District provides a platform for young Emiratis to showcase their businesses to a global audience at DXB, the world’s busiest international airport.
