The Dubai-based entertainment marketing agency behind the Middle East expansion of Tyra Banks’ Smize Cream brand has launched Maven Global Access, an international expansion consultancy focused on arming women and minority business owners in the US and the Middle East with the resources and opportunities to scale their businesses globally.

Washington DC-based Patrice King Brickman, Founder of Inspire Capital LLC and minority owner of Monumental Sports (parent company of the Washington DC-based NBA, WNBA and National Hockey League teams); and Kate Goodall, Co-founder and CEO of Halcyon, and Co-managing Director of the Halcyon Fund, join Dubai-based African American marketing pioneer Sarah Omolewu as the powerhouse trio behind the new consultancy.

The launch of Maven Global Access enables the organisation’s clients to gain exclusive access to policy and industry decision-makers, technical expertise, tactical support, relevant professional networks and Maven’s proprietary white-glove business setup services.

Maven Global Access also supports governments at all levels to design their strategy for investment promotion and provide capacity building initiatives to their teams. The organisation’s services include investment facilitation, government relations and business development, while placing an emphasis on destination and trade marketing.

“As the power dynamics shift globally, there’s a lot for business owners to get excited about in developing markets that are access points to broader regions and bigger growth opportunities, and we want to help under-represented founders benefit from this,” said Sarah Omolewu.

“Patrice, Kate and I align around a simple truth – that empowerment is not enough. An overwhelming majority of women and minority founders are already motivated and confident but lack access. We need more “In-powerment,” which means more access to ownership, decision-making authority, and most importantly, investment as they scale internationally.”

The organisation has its sights set on other markets within the region and beyond, including Southeast Asia, within the next few years.
