Regional e-commerce marketplace Noon has launched a next-day fresh grocery delivery service in Dubai via its app to provide customers with fast service amid difficult Covid-19 times.
The service called Noon Daily will offer everyday essentials including fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and bakery, dairy, meat, frozen food, household essentials, baby food and more, and doesn’t require a minimum order.
“We take immense pride in being able to serve the UAE market in this time of need,” said Noon founder Mohamed Alabbar, “Our new next-day grocery service will stand as the mark of convenience, trust and reliability for customers and residents as they are advised to stay home.”
“Our service and dedication are as strong as ever, and the introduction of ‘noon Daily’ is the next chapter in noon’s story and it continues our journey in becoming the company for the people, by the people of this region,” he added.
The service is limited to online pre-payment and follows a 100% contactless service, with a leave-at-the-door silent delivery.
Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Dubai Economy, emphasised the importance of supporting and promoting e-commerce to position Dubai as a competitive commercial centre and a preferred place to live, work and invest.
“To ensure everyone’s health and safety, we encourage all members of the community to shop online from the safety of their homes and use digital payment channels,” he said.
Noon is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and Alabbar. It first went live in December 2017 and has grown to become one of the region’s leading online shopping destinations with operations in KSA, the UAE and Egypt.
