The Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, has announced a AED102 million package of infrastructure development projects in the northern emirate.

It comes as the emirate aims to modernise its economy, with a particular focus on the fields of architecture and construction, state news agency WAM reported.

Earlier this year, Ajman ruler Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuami, approved a AED2.4 billion government budget for 2022 – the largest in the emirate’s history.

Infrastructure, community facilities, and the environment would account for 39 percent of the spending, the rulers said at the time, as they aim to “prioritise peoples’ happiness and building a prosperous community.”

The recently announced package will focus on economic, cultural, and sports development in Ajman, the crown prince said.
