Saudi Arabia plans to import 535,000 MT of wheat in March-April next year.

The Saudi Grains Organisation (SAGO) said it has already issued a tender for the proposed wheat imports.

The wheat import shipments are distributed among four ports in the country – three shipments each at Jeddah Islamic Port and Yanbu Commercial Port, two at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and one shipment at Jazan Port.

Governor of SAGO Ahmad A. Al-Fares said the proposed imports are part of the organisation’s plan to maintain the strategic stocks of wheat and meet the demand from the milling companies.
