UAE announces 783 new cases of Covid-19

UAE health authorities have detected another 783 confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s total to 19,661.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), two more fatalities have also been reported. The UAE’s coronavirus death toll now stands at 203.

Since Monday, more than 32,000 Covid-19 tests were carried out.

To date, over 1.3 million people have been examined.

Additionally, 631 patients recovered from the disease. The total number of recoveries in the country now stands at 6,012.

Earlier in the day, Dubai Economy unveiled updated re-opening guidelines, which recommended that malls open between 10 am and 10 pm on weekdays after Ramadan, and 10 am to 12 pm on weekends.

F&B outlets and food courts must continue to maintain 30 percent capacity, and ensure seating arrangements are placed 2 metres apart for all customers or set up separators and screens between tables.

Globally, there have over 4.2 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including over 287,000 deaths.

Over 1.5 million people have recovered from the disease.
