The Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted two ballistic missiles by the Houthi militia on Sunday night.
Launched from within the territory of Yemen, north of Amran governorate, the missiles were intercepted at 8.47pm, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The two missiles were launched in the direction of the city of Najran, targeting civilian and populated areas, according to spokesman for the Arab Coalition Forces, Colonel Turki al-Maliki.
He said scattered fragments of the missiles fell on residential neighbourhoods, but no injuries or damage were reported.
