Philippine Consulate in Dubai to require online appointments for passport renewals

Applicants exempt from the rule include pregnant women, minors, seniors, people of determination and household workers

Starting today April 10, the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai will not accept passport renewal applications without online appointments.

However, the consulate said some applicants will be exempt from the new rule. They include minors aged 12 and below, senior citizens aged 60 and above, people of determination, pregnant women and household workers, reported local media.

Instead, they are instructed to submit their passport renewal applications at the Courtesy Lane section between 8am and 3:30pm, the Consulate said.

Those who require immediate passport renewals due to emergencies can email [email protected], along with proof of urgency, to obtain priority in appointments.
