Slipping down one spot are the reigning French Champions, with overall revenues of $191m, reducing the revenue gap between it and Lyon to $6.7m.

After it won the title for the first time since 1991/1992 and progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League, the club saw an increase in broadcast revenues, which accounted for nearly 50 percent of total revenues.

Commercial income rose to $81.0m on the back of a new sponsorship deal with BetClic, who became the main shirt sponsor in 2010/2011.

Despite the highest league attendance in France, OM generated match day income of only $1.35m per match from 25 home games, one of the lowest values among the Money League clubs. A plan to renovate the famed Stade Velodrome is central to increasing matchday income, with work due to start in June 2011 to increase capacity to 67,000.

While the club is expected to feature in future editions of the Money League, it needs to continue to qualify for the Champion’s League in order to remain there.
