Formerly known as Alkhalij Holding, Qatar Investors Group was founded in 2006. It is a manufacturing and services company, which focuses on cement manufacturing (Alkhalij Cement Company, a subsidiary, is the second-biggest cement maker in Qatar), investments, real estate, security systems, trading and retail. In May this year, Ezdan Holding Group bought a 20 percent stake in the company.
