Founded in 2001 by Faisal Holding, Aamal listed on the Qatar Exchange six years later. The firm oversees four main business areas. Its industrial manufacturing division includes cement, pipeline, lighting, cables and transformer manufacturing units, while its trading arm distributes autoparts, pharmaceuticals and air conditioning units, among other products. Its property portfolio includes City Centre Doha and Souq Al Najma, while its managed services division includes interests in travel, energy solutions and facilities management. In the first half, the firm reported a 31 percent rise in profit to $47m.
