31-year old Hosny is an Egyptian singer, actor and composer. Hosny was first signed to the Free Music record label after being discovered by the record label’s manager and co-owner Mahrous. But it has 66 (new entry) Tamer Hosny been his music for his films which gained him his most success.
In 2004, Hosny released his first studio album. Titled Hobb, the album featured the single “Arrab Habibi”. His breakthrough single “Habibi Wenta B’eed” garnered him huge success in his native country.
Other films include the 2005 Sayyed El Atfy which featured the two extremely successful songs, “Koll Marra” and “Nour Einy”, both were performed for the film.
In 2005, Hosni was imprisoned for charges relating to forging a passport and avoiding conscription along with fellow Egyptian artist.
His most recent work includes the album, Ya Bent El-Eih and movie Omar & Salma costarring with Mai Ezzedine. In September last year he released Il Ganna Fe Biotna, Heaven is in our Homes, featuring Islamic and Ramadan themed songs.
