Chances are you won’t have heard of the Al Kabeer Group. But you are likely to have eaten several of its products. Suresh Subberwal has been a leading light in the Gulf’s frozen foods sector for over 30 years. As chairman of the Al Kabeer Group, Subberwal has overseen the firm’s transformation into a multi-dimensional, multi-product business, with offices, processing units and cold storage facilities in over fifteen countries. Founded in 1974, it now distributes a range of 300 products to 8,000 retail outlets across the GCC and further afield. But instead of using the Al Kabeer name, it uses different brands for different markets, so it is known as Falcon Foods in the UK, Samurai in Japan, and Tayebat Al Emarat in the UAE.
