Dubai-based Ajmal Perfumes, an international $200m annual turnover fragrance house, recently launched its Levant operations with the opening of a boutique outlet in Beirut. The company plans to invest a total of $2m in Lebanon by the end of the year. Ajmal is optimistic about the future, with good reason. “With a growing network of 137 exclusive retail shops across the GCC and Asia and ambitious plans that include expansion in London by 2011 and other key metropolises in the near future, the Ajmal brand has a clear vision of where it wants and needs to be,” he says.
