Dr Asar Khan crowned a long and distinguished career this year by being named as president of the Indian Overseas Congress in Saudi Arabia during October. The position is a vital one – Khan will be helping non-resident Indians in the country understand cultural and traditional values in the kingdom, as well as contributing to increasing trade and ties between the two countries. Having lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for fifteen years, Khan is no stranger to the kingdom, having worked at the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and as president of international business development with the AK Saeed Group. During his time in Saudi Arabia, he has also been a member of the steering committee that oversees the Saudi-Indian Friendship Society.
