In Bahraini restaurants, there is a service charge added to your bill, but don’t expect this to be passed on to your waiter or waitress! You can either round up your bill or leave a 10-15 percent tip for good service.
In hotels, it’s appropriate to tip porters and bellhops 0.4 Bahraini Dinar (BHD) for each piece of baggage, and room maids the same for each night of your stay.
There’s no set tip for bartenders but, again, if you wish, 0.4 BHD ($1) per drink is standard.
Taxi drivers usually receive an extra 10 percent above the meter fare.
