Designation: Co-founder and CEO

Ahmad Al Zaini is an unconventional leader who started his career as an entrepreneur. He co-founded his first start-up, ALWANS, in 2010. The company developed apps as well as investment opportunities for other start-ups. As CEO, he distinguished himself at all levels during his tenure.

Al Zaini is a strong believer in the F&B digital transformation scene. In 2014, he co-founded Foodics, a fast-growing start-up that revamps the restaurant management experience, as well as the relationship between consumers and restaurant owners. He thrives on introducing new technologies that will change how people order, pay for, and connect with their favourite food. With more than 200 employees, over 51,000 points of sale in more than 23 countries, Foodics has grown from its Khobar beginnings to six offices across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Jordan.

Al Zaini has been granted prestigious regional leadership awards, including being named an Entrepreneur Shaping Saudi Arabia’s Future and a high-impact entrepreneur by Endeavor Global. He is a board advisor and business consultant for a number of companies – especially in the restaurant and technology spaces – and an angel investor in several tech start-ups.

As founder of Wazi Volunteering Club, Al Zaini works to raise awareness of the impact of technology on Saudi society.

In addition to this, Al Zaini has been a charter member at the Chamber of Commerce Club since 2009, and is the head of the marketing committee in Division M Toastmaster Annual Conference. He is also an administrator and member of the Anchorage Society for Human Resources Management (ASHRM), which is an affiliation of the National Society for Human Resource Management, a non-profit professional association of human resource professionals focused on serving the Acadiana business community. Ahmad has also been a member of the Delivery Applications Committee of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce since October 2020.

An electrical engineering graduate from King Fahd University, Al Zaini recently completed a Harvard Leadership programme.
