Immediately after completing his studies in real estate development, Maher Sweid launched Sweid & Sweid, the award-winning, Dubai-based boutique real estate company targeting niche development, investment and build-to-suit opportunities.
Since its launch 15 years ago Sweid & Sweid has gained an enviable reputation for delivering grade-A commercial and residential products and adopting a comprehensive approach to all phases of the development cycle from sourcing opportunities to funding and execution. Its most recent ventures include luxury development Banyan Tree Residences Dubai, a luxury apartments complex, and Double Creek II, a 372 apartments complex in Austin, Texas which marks the bespoke company’s second foray into the US property market.
Sweid & Sweid has been able to provide solutions for a range of multinational corporations and tenants including Oracle, Red Bull, Snapchat, Sap, Tesco, Visa, Fujitsu, GlaxoSmithKline, Sabic, Bristol-Myers Squibb, McGraw Hill and Johnson Controls, to name a few.
The company’s landmark development in Dubai’s Internet City – The Edge – was launched in 2014 and is now home to computer giants Oracle. It was sold to ENBD Real Estate Investment Trust in 2017 for $76.2 million.
