Al Ali was born and raised in Dubai to an Emirati father and a British mother. Her mother is a jazz, soul and RnB singer – and was a regular performer in UAE clubs and music venues- her grandmother was a singer and her great grandfather was a jazz piano player and so Al Ali believes music is in her genes.
A month after finishing runner-up to Nour Ardakani in the final audition of Now United talent competition ( which is guided by Spice Girls mentor and manager Simon Fuller) the Emirati-British talent released her debut single Hung Up, an accompanying music video and signed with major record label, Universal. The video features 90s-inspired hip-hop fashion and choreographies and appeals to all ages.
Being only 15 years old, Al Ali is still committed to her school work and her days and juggles between online lessons, homework and visits to the dance and music studios. She is dedicated to a full time career in music and has the approval and support of both her parents.
