The Kuwaiti national, who has a BA in Computer Science from the Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Jordan, says that she always wanted to create a project that promoted reading and books. Since she started her career in software, she decided to draw on that experience to launch the innovative Arabic-language platform.

The social network for the book lovers’ currently has 200,000 registered readers and writers, getting 360,000 unique visitors and 1 million page views per month. It was recently named one of the top five startups in Jordan. Abjjad has created a book catalogue of 130,000 Arabic book titles.
