New to Kibsons is Delphis Eco, a 100 percent British made, plant based eco-innovation that uses biodegradable ingredients and is free of VOCs and other nasties that can harm human health to clean your home without negatively impacting the environment or your family’s health. Kibsons: Working towards a better environment
Kibsons is always committed to working towards becoming a cleaner and more environmentally conscious company and have implemented eco-friendly and sustainable operations to reduce carbon footprint and support the anti-plastic movement within their operations strategy.
Naturally being a company that fundamentally relies on the ongoing function of a cold storage facility and running a large fleet of distribution vehicles, water, electricity and fuel are principles in keeping with a successfully flowing business. However, it has always been key for Kibsons to strive towards minimal consumption, whilst still maintaining the quality and fantastic service that they are proud to be known for.
Maintaining Kibsons reputation of supplying the freshest produce in the region, Kibsons water is widely used in the cold storage facility, purposely built to maintain the freshness of your produce whilst being sorted. Kibsons have made it their mission to make this process as eco-friendly as possible. Hard work and determination have paid off with Kibsons now on track to recycle more than 75 percent of the water usage at the Kibsons headquarters.
Kibsons are also working on a new solar panel project, set to span over their 50,000 sq m warehouse. The project will result in an electricity reduction of more that 25 percent annually, including a reduction of 50 percent in the winter months.
Kibsons refrigerated fleet have also been focusing on a new initiative to reduce the harmful emissions in the atmosphere. By using bio-fuel additives, Kibsons are set to bring 20 percent more efficiency on the total fuel consumption. Measured on km/litre consumed, Kibsons’ initiative is expected to reach a 20 percent reduction of harmful emissions in the atmosphere.
