Just two years ago Alan Gow was named the new boss of Virgin Mobile’s Middle East and Africa operations, overseeing the launch of the operator in the UAE under parent company, the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du).
Gow is credited with co-founding Virgin Mobile in the UK with Sir Richard Branson by creating a business model centred around a mobile virtual network operator, the first time such an operation had ever been introduced.
