Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi is in charge of the DeG’s mission to transform Sharjah’s government sector with the introduction of online and smart services, while supporting the emirate’s socioeconomic development. Under his leadership, DeG is playing a key role in the digitalisation strategy for Sharjah through a number of initiatives. The DeG is responsible for supporting all government entities in Sharjah in their adoption of new technologies, and as part of that directive, DeG has created a number of shared solutions and services that provide the basis for technology transformation. These shared projects include the Sharjah Services Government Portal, which offers a range of cloud-based services, as well as the Zajel system, which has improved communications among government agencies.
