He’s the man behind The Palm Jumeirah, Deira Islands, International City and Dragon City, but Lootah also commands a retail empire that is set to cover some 17 million square feet of leasable area. Property giant Nakheel is targeting substantial growth in the next two years, with a strong pipeline including the Nakheel Mall, The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah and The Night Market at Deira Islands.

Among his other positions, Lootah is vice chairman of Mashreq Bank and director of Oman Insurance Group.
