Dr Cherif Sleiman is a highly effective, results-oriented and influential business and technology leader, an inspirational public speaker and a visionary with over 25 years of comprehensive experience. Born in Lebanon, he spent 20 years in the US, the majority of which were in Silicon Valley where he amassed an impressive portfolio of patents working for reputed high tech companies, after which he returned to the Middle East.
Over the years he has built a solid reputation as a turnaround specialist with a solid track record of business transformation and has been in leadership roles in the technology industry at Cisco, Nortel, Brocade and Infoblox, building businesses and leading cross-functional teams. Sleiman is currently the Senior Vice President and General Manager of International Markets at Infoblox, responsible for managing all aspects of the business including the go-to-market and growth strategy for Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In this role, he acts as a trusted advisor to key organisations in all continents across mission critical sectors such as finance, telecoms, government institutions and intelligence. He was promoted to the position of heading International business after his stellar success as VP of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) at Infoblox, where under his leadership the company’s regional revenue grew by over 44 percent.
Sleiman also ran the Enterprise and the Advanced Technologies lines of business at Cisco Systems for the Middle East and Africa region and spent eight years at Nortel Networks in various progressive roles, the last of which was serving as Chief Technology Officer of the Enterprise Business Unit where he was responsible for research and development (R&D) strategy for a variety of technology portfolios including routing, switching, optical, wireless LAN, IP telephony and security and worked with several portfolios, business units, and strategic customers to define the strategic vision and technology roadmaps for the company.
