Many of the most recognisable locally-produced brands at the supermarket are the work of Iffco Group. With over 40 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods market, the family business established by the late Abdul Razak Allana, has a strong portfolio of brands that boast leading market shares, including London Dairy, Rahma, Tiffany and Noor.

The group is now run by brothers Feroz (pictured), Irfan and Shiraz and has spread globally, with its products available across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, West Asia, the Far East, Australia and the US.

Iffco also has a significant presence in agri business, oils and fats, packaging, chemicals, sales and distribution. It also produces derivatives and intermediates related to these business segments. In addition, the group has built a strong portfolio of brands with leading market shares in the domestic and regional markets.

Last year, Iffco solidified its presence in Africa by opening a trading company in Tanzania and a warehouse operation in Djibouti. This year it was one of the top brands in the list of the world’s 300 largest cooperatives. It also announced a joint venture with Spain’s Congelados De Navarra to build a food processing plant in Punjab. And along with Indian Potash it acquired a 37 percent stake in Jordan’s largest mining and chemical firm JPMC. Iffco also acquired 100 percent of shares in PT Synergy Oil Nusantara Company in Indonesia.
