The face of her family’s huge business empire, Lubna Olayan was one of the first Saudi women to break through barriers that continue to make business – and even employment – difficult for females in the kingdom.
She made history in 2005 as the first woman to make a public address at a conference in Saudi Arabia and has continued to play an influential role as a mentor for women, including the 500 employed by the Olayan Group.
