NMC is the largest private healthcare company in the UAE and also among the top three fertility providers in the world. Founded in Abu Dhabi by BR Shetty in 1974 as the New Medical Centre, the first facility expanded into a fully-fledged hospital.
Then, in 1981, NMC Trading was launched to distribute medicines to pharmacies in the UAE, a division that would later expand into the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods, as well as medical equipment and supplies, and educational products. Now under the guidance of Prasanth Manghat, NMC has expanded further into long-term care and also into new territories in Europe.
