Guy Mehula has been president of Parsons’ MENA+ region (incorporating Greece, Turkety and Italy) for three years.
The firm has been building substantial revenues from infrastructure projects. It is project managing the $11bn Etihad Rail programme, delivering a Saudi Ministry of Housing project to create plots for 500,000 homes in 11 cities and is managing the Lusail City scheme for Qatari Diar, among others.
Parsons has enjoyed a strong run of contract awards in the past 12 months, picking up project management wins for sections of the Riyadh Metro, the Doha Metro (in a joint venture with Systra), the Qatar Long Distance Rail network (with Systra), and the Doha Expressway.
Alongside this, it was named as supervision consultant for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment in Dubai, where it will oversee infrastructure and construction works for more than 550 villas.
“The past 12 months have been busy for us in the GCC – we’ve welcomed more than 500 new hires since the beginning of the year and we are still projecting to grow in the region,” Mehula told CW.
