Facilities management continues to develop as an industry across the region, which has helped with the growth of one of the UAE’s bigger players in this space, Imdaad.
The company, which has been headed by CEO Jamal Abdulla Lootah since its inception, has managed to land a major deal to provide complete facilities management to Emirates for its Al Furjan residential complex in the Jebel Ali Community Zone containing over 100 villas.
It has also signed a three-year gate pass and permit application contract with Trakhees, an entity of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation for all waste recycling companies and water transporters.
Imdaad renewed its FM services deal with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sports Complex Owners Association and with the Owners Association at Discovery Gardens.
Perhaps most importantly, it laid the foundation stone for a 119,550ft2 staff camp in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1. At the opening, Lootah said the firm recognised that its workforce had been core to its success, adding: “We want to reward them with the best living conditions we can provide.”
The firm’s Emiratisation strategy continues to generate success stories, with 63% of its top management now UAE nationals.
“For the coming year, we will continue to focus on current issues such as environment, recycling, waste management, and reduction in carbon footprints,” Lootah said.
