Mohammed Bin Zaal says the past year has been one of “growth and expansion” for Al Barari – the firm creating exclusive villas on a desert plot near the City of Arabia in Dubai.
The company completed the first phase of its Al Barari villas project and launched the second phase, Seventh Heaven, which sold out in just 48 hours. It is a scheme containing 157 properties including sky villas, penthouses, and garden homes. Plot sizes range from 2,000 to 6,600ft2, and are set in heavily-landscaped areas.
“More developments are planned for the end of the year,” Bin Zaal told CW. “We are currently working on the completion of an underpass on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, which will be constructed this summer. This is important not only for the residents of Al Barari, but the residents of the UAE, who will benefit from the underpass, reducing travel time by 50%.”
It has also completed 14 villas to shell and core at The Reserve project launched in May 2013, and has another 14 under development.
The company is also planning a high end boutique resort, retail village, bars and dining venues at Seventh Heaven, as well as a creative hub containing fashion boutiques, art studies and design labs.
Bin Zaal joined his father’s business and has helped to build it from 10 employees in 2005 to 800 currently.
“By the end of the year, we are looking to announce two new projects and open our new Heart & Soul spa,” he added.
