Dr. Gangaramani has played a major role in the building of modern Dubai, having arrived from India in 1974 to work as an engineer on the construction of Dubai’s World Trade Centre. After 34 years at the helm of Al Fara’a, Gangaramani has managed to create one of the foremost contracting firms in the UAE and built complementary arms in MEP, steel, aluminium, cement and properties.
The past year has seen it working on several medical projects including the $65mn Sila Community Hospital in Abu Dhabi’s western region and the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) Dialysis Centre in Abu Dhabi city centre – both for Abu Dhabi General Services Company.
The former is scheduled to have its building completion certificate issued in September, while foundation works are in progress at the latter. Elsewhere, on Al Maryah Island, it is close to finishing a commercial office tower for Al Hilal Bank.
