Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Naatu Naatu’, momos among Indian kids’ favorite things this year

The digital edition of Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022 received 1.7 million votes, the highest ever across all editions of KCA

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, whose film ‘Pathaan’ broke box office records in India grossing over Rs 100 billion in collections, emerged as the favourite actor for Indian kids in the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022.

The kids also chose the Oscar winner for Best Original Song, RRR’s infectious track ‘Naatu Naatu’  as their favourite song for the year.

Among the other favourites for Indian kids are momos or dumplings (food item) and Candy Crush Saga emerges (mobile game).

The digital edition of Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022 received 1.7 million votes, the highest ever across all editions of KCA.

“With the addition of newer categories, the fandom surrounding Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards grew tremendously and witnessed appreciation for socially trending categories such as ‘Favorite Audio on Reels’, ‘Favorite Influencer’, and ‘Favorite Shorts’, the kids entertainment platform said in a statement.

Shah Rukh Khan a.k.a Pathaan emerged as the clear favourite amongst kids by earning both the ‘Favourite Actor’ the ‘Favourite Movie’ category titles, it said.

Kiara Advani bagged the title of favourite female actor, while Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit were declared as favourite dancing stars.

The favourite sportsperson title went to Indian shuttler PV Sindhu.

Sonali Bhattacharya, Head – Marketing, Kids TV Network, Viacom18, said this year’s edition garnered a record-breaking 1.7 million votes, proving that kids have been empowered to voice their choice.
