Brazil football icon Neymar Jr has made his move into Saudi Arabia’s football club Al Hilal, for a contract valued at $300 million and valid until 2025.

The move, announced by the club, saw the Al Hilal Club’s board of directors sign the Brazilian forward and former Paris Saint-Germain sensation.

The announcement was made at the Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris, France. Presenting the deal was Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Neymar Jr is hailed as the historical top scorer for the Brazilian national team and is often compared to football legend Pelé. He is set to join the ranks of Al Hilal for a duration spanning two sports seasons.

“He is a global icon who has brought joy and pleasure to the fans, who always spotlight him in all the matches and events he participates in,” Bin Nafel said.

He further said that Neymar Jr’s signing was more than just a strategic move – it was a rallying point for fans across Saudi Arabia and beyond.

“He is a powerful attacking force, with great potential that has enabled him to achieve accomplishments throughout his career, and his signing is what the team needs,” Bin Nafel added.

“I want to write a new history, and the Saudi Professional League has tremendous energy and quality players and is in great growth at the moment, so I believe it is the desired place,” Neymar Jr said.

“Al-Hilal is a giant club with fantastic fans, and it is the best in Asia. This gives me a feeling that it is the right decision for me at the right time with the right club,” he added.
