IPL will hold its 2024 player auction in Dubai on December 19.
It is the first time the season opener has ever been held overseas and will see teams recruit for the 2024 season.
The IPL’s 10 teams must submit the list of players retained for next season by November 15.
2024 IPL player auction in Dubai
This will help form the player pool for auctions, which will be formed before the auction is held.
Every IPL team will then have a budget of IR100 crore ($12m) with which to create their new squad for the 2024 season.
The allocated purse is an increase on the IR95 crore ($11.4m) provided last year.
IPL teams will have a budget dependent on the value of released players as well as money left over from previous auctions.
Team purses in advance of the squad releases are:
- Punjab Kings: IR12.20 crore ($1.47m)
- Sunrisers Hyderabad: IR6.55 crore ($0.79m)
- Gujarat Titans: IR4.45 crore ($0.54m)

Among the players rumoured to be available this year are Mitchel Starc, Pat Cummins, Chris Woakes, Travis Head and Gerald Coetzee.
