Arabian Business to hire a ‘Ronaldo correspondent.’ Could it be you?

Applicants sought for full time role based in Riyadh

Arabian Business is to appoint a full time dedicated “Ronaldo correspondent”, as the superstar completes his world record $214 million a year signing to Saudi soccer club Al Nassr.

Applications are invited from reporters in the region, with the position based full time in Riyadh. Matthew Amlot, Managing Editor of Arabian Business, said: “Ronaldo is the biggest star and the biggest story on the planet. It is an industry of its own, and as such it deserves its own full time correspondent. His move to Saudi Arabia keeps Arab soccer firmly on the global stage, and the successful applicant will play a pivotal part in this unfolding story.”

The Ronaldo correspondent, working out of the Arabian Business offices in Riyadh, will be required to cover all matches at Al Nassr, media and commercial related events – and provide daily updates and insights into the life of Ronaldo as he settles into Saudi Arabia.

“We want to showcase Ronaldo’s new – and no doubt amazing – life as he begins this new phase of his career with his young family. How he adapts to the culture, his experiences as he tours the country, and of course his performances on the pitch – we will bring our readers, in both English and Arabic, Ronaldo news on a 24/7 basis.”

Interested applicants are invited to submit their CVs with a covering letter to matthew.amlot@itp.com. Previous sports reporting experience is not essential. The successful applicant must be fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken), an be able to create regular content on a daily basis.
