The sports arm of Adani Group, Adani Sportsline, names their International League T20 (ILT20) cricket team in the UAE as “Gulf Giants.”

Former Zimbabwe captain and 2010 ICC World T20-winning coach (England team) joins as head coach for the inaugural season of the ILT20.

“I am very proud to be associated with the Adani Group, particularly Adani Sportsline. Most people are aware of the company’s power, size and reach in general, and it’s wonderful to see their commitment to sports,” said Andy Flower.

Emirates Cricket Board confirmed last month that the inaugural ILT20 League will be played from January 6 to February 12 in 2023 at world-class stadiums in the UAE over a 34-match schedule.

Adani Group is the fifth Indian group to make a foray into franchise cricket in UAE’s T20 league. India’s Reliance Industries, Kolkata Knight Riders, Capri Global, GMR, Lancer Capital are the other teams to play the IPL-style league.

“The Adani Group is also very proud to be participating in a tournament that will be held in a country with a rich culture and history,” the statement said.

The golden falcon in the Gulf Giants logo represents the national bird of the UAE and is a powerful symbol of strength.

Adani Sportsline engages with sports fans worldwide through popular Indian leagues such as the Pro Kabaddi League, the Big Bout Boxing League, and the Ultimate Kho Kho League under this brand.
