Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a collaboration with Careem Bike to provide complimentary bikes for participants in the upcoming Dubai Ride cycling event for those who do not possess their own.
Bikes can be obtained on a first-come, first-served basis from Careem’s bike docking stations at Entrance A – Museum of the Future (MOTF) – Trade Centre Street and Entrance E – Lower FCS – Financial Centre Road next to Roda Al Murooj Building A.
Participants also have the option to subscribe and rent a Careem Bike from any of the 192 stations across Dubai, with overtime fees for rides exceeding 45 minutes being waived during the event.
How to get a free bike ride for Dubai Ride
To obtain a free bike ride for Dubai Ride, participants can download the Careem app, click the ‘Bike’ icon, and subscribe to the ‘Dubai Ride Pass’ set at AED 00.00 on November 12, 2023, from 2:00AM until 7:30AM.
Bikes can be picked up from the two pop-up stations near Entrance A – MOTF and Entrance E – Lower FCS or any of the 192 Careem Bike docking stations.
All participants are required to bring their own helmets, register on the Dubai Ride website, and enter their card details as a security measure, with no charge for borrowing the bikes.

Participants can acquire free bikes from specific stations on a first-come, first-served basis, while Careem Bike subscribers can access bikes at any station, with overtime fees waived during the event.

The Dubai Ride routes are open to the general public from 6:15AM, with all cyclists commencing their journey at 6:30AM, concluding at 7:30AM.
Participants can collect bikes from the designated Careem bike-docking stations in close proximity to the cycling event, including Entrance A – MOTF – Trade Centre St and Entrance E – Lower FCS – Financial Centre Rd Next to Roda Al Murooj Building A.
RTA has also announced the full details, alternative streets and roads on Sheikh Zayed Rd, coinciding with the activities of the Dubai Ride Cycling Race.
