Deep Dive Dubai, the world’s deepest swimming pool, has sunk a luxury car for swimmers and scuba divers to find and explore.
The “world’s deepest and largest underwater attraction” opened in 2021 and quickly became one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
60m deep and filled with 14m litres of warm water it has become a hub for scuba divers, freedivers and social media content producers.
Deep Dive Dubai sinks Mercedes
A bright red Mercedes convertible has now been sunk in the swimming pool for deep divers to discover.
A photo of the car being lowered to the depths of the pool were shared by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
A message from the pool management posted on social media said: “If you’re a regular visitor to Deep Dive Dubai or a follower on our social media platforms, you may have noticed that we frequently change and upgrade the props in our pool.
“Last year, we placed a grey Mercedes convertible, but we recently removed it for repairs. To freshen up its look, we decided to paint it red, and we’re thrilled to announce that the Mercedes is now back in place and ready for divers to enjoy.
“We take great pride in providing a dynamic and exciting experience for our visitors, and we hope that the updated Mercedes adds to the fun and adventure of diving at Deep Dive.”
