Opera star Andrea Bocelli and UK rocker Guns N’ Roses are among the big names confirmed for a music festival taking place in the UAE later this month.
Dubai-based telecom operator Du has announced the line-up for its upcoming 3rd Du World Music Festival, which runs from March 22 to April 6.
Top musical artists will perform at venues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with top headliners including Andrea Bocelli, Guns N’ Roses, Amr Diab, Sonu Nigam, Train, and Kadim Al Saher.
Venues includes the Du Arena in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre and Dubai Tennis Stadium, Du said in a statement.
Hala Badri, executive vice president, Brand and Communications, Du, said: “We’re thrilled with this year’s line-up, which includes an incredible variety of very talented musicians from around the world.
“Every artist has been carefully selected to appeal to the many nationalities that are present in the UAE, so that we can give back to the community and add life to their life in as many ways as possible.
“The Du World Music Festival has proved a huge success in the past years, and we look forward to this year being equally as rewarding in terms of providing the people of the UAE with a world class entertainment experience,” she added.
The UAE is growing in stature on the global music scene with some of the biggest names having performed recently in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The likes of Kanye West, Coldplay and Madonna have all added gigs in the UAE in recent months amid demand from the growing number of expats living in the country.
