South Korean boyband BTS have announced they will play a concert in Saudi Arabia in October.
The K-Pop group will play at the 70,000 capacity King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on Friday, October 11, with ticket prices starting from 934 Saudi riyals ($249).
The band has faced a backlash from some international fans, especially in light of their partnership with UNICEF.
Several high profile musical performers have played in Saudi Arabia in recent months, as the conservative kingdom looks to embrace a more liberal approach to entertainment and music.
Mariah Carey played in the kingdom in January, despite calls for her to cancel.
The Jeddah World Fest was announced earlier this year, with rapper Nicki Minaj and British singer Liam Payne unveiled as the headline acts.
After an intense backlash, Minaj announced a few days later she was cancelling her appearance.
“After careful reflection I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest,” Minaj said in a statement.
