Award-winning stand-up comedian Trevor Noah has postponed his sold out show in Abu Dhabi later this month, it was announced on Wednesday.
The postponement comes just a couple of days after reports the du Forum show would go ahead despite him cancelling a number of others due to damage to his vocal chords.
But in an email on Wednesday, organisers said: “Due to unforeseen health issues, the Trevor Noah show scheduled for Friday December 21 at the du Forum has been postponed to a future date.
“We are working with the organisers to find the best suitable show date in 2019, which will be announced as soon as it is confirmed. For those who currently have a ticket for this event, it will automatically be transferred over to new dates in 2019.
“However, those seeking a refund can contact Ticketmaster directly at 800 86823 or +971 4 366 2289 email customerservice@ticketmaster.ae.”
Following his sell-out performance last year, Noah was set to return to Yas Island with his all-new stand-up show, Trevor Noah Live.
