Saudi Arabia and South Korea launched a high profile bilateral programme – ‘Saudi-Korean tour’ – to showcase bilateral investment opportunities in transport and logistics services.
The programme was launched in the South Korean capital Seoul on Tuesday.
During the launch programme, the Saudi side made a presentation to showcase investment opportunities available in the Kingdom in the field of public transport, air transport, roads, ports, railways, and logistics services.
It also talked about the proposed rail project linking three continents, besides the initiatives, programmes and projects aimed at consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center.
The Korean delegation talked about the investment opportunities available in innovation in the field of transportation, the adoption of modern transportation systems, electric vehicles and buses, as also in the field of road map applications.
They also revealed investment opportunities in developing airports, air navigation, ports, and the transition to smart cities in the country.
The two sides have also reportedly signed two MoUs in the fields of future mobility and roads, deepening cooperation on mobility areas. Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics Services,. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and South Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, launched the programme.
