Russia plans to sign treaties to absorb four regions of Ukraine at a Kremlin ceremony on Friday. President Vladimir Putin plans to address legislators in a speech on the day, according to his spokesman, reported Bloomberg.
“People simply couldn’t vote against the annexation — imagine that you are voting in front of the occupation authorities,” Ukrainian journalist Nick Osychenko told The Moscow Times.
“Tomorrow in the Georgian Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace at 15:00 (1200 GMT) a signing ceremony will take place on the incorporation of the new territories into Russia,” spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
