ITP Media Group (ITP) and NEOM Media Industries sector have announced an extension of their collaboration, for valuable media training and internship opportunities for young Saudi talents.
This initiative, now entering its third year, has already paved the way for numerous full-time positions in the media industry.
The New Media and Content Creation Graduate Programme, powered by ITP and NEOM, is tailored to recent graduates in Saudi Arabia, aiming to equip them with essential digital editorial and journalism skills and create meaningful employment prospects.
The programme begins with a four-week training session slated for November, followed by a six-month paid internship at ITP Media Saudi’s Riyadh headquarters for a select group of 15 exceptional students.
During this internship, students will engage actively with prominent global and regional media brands such as Time Out, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Arabian Business, and Esquire, enhancing their professional experience.
Outstanding students during their internships will have the opportunity to secure full-time positions, either in Riyadh or within ITP’s extensive global network.
The programme will be led by international trainers and seasoned regional media experts, focusing on relevant skills demanded by today’s evolving media landscape.
It will cover various subjects, including new media, podcasting, digital communication in the modern age, and, importantly, the principles of journalistic integrity and impactful storytelling.
“Over the past 18 months, NEOM has become firmly established as the media industries’ gateway to the MENA region. Talent development remains a significant priority for us as we work towards creating a comprehensive media ecosystem,” Wayne Borg, Managing Director of Media Industries, Entertainment, and Culture at NEOM said.
“Over the last two years, our partnership with ITP has proven extremely fruitful, opening avenues for young Saudis to secure full-time roles in journalism. This initiative extends unparalleled support and mentorship to the new generation of media trailblazers.”
Martin Chambers, Managing Director of ITP Media Group, highlighted the programme’s role in nurturing future creators and innovators in the media industry, connecting them with the opportunities of tomorrow.
“Each year that we embark on this programme, we set out looking for our industry’s brightest future creators and innovators, with many of our internship candidates going on to secure full-time roles within ITP Media Saudi and play an instrumental part in growing our content and events operations.”
“ITP’s partnership with NEOM is a unique platform in Saudi that connects our industry with the modernisers of tomorrow,” he added.
The New Media and Content Creation Graduate Programme is scheduled to take place in Riyadh from Sunday, Nov. 12, to Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, offering young Saudis a unique platform to embark on their careers in the dynamic world of media.
