Italy’s Roberto Cavalli fashion house is expanding into Bahrain after signing a deal with Bin Faqeeh Real Estate Investment Company to furnish a new residential project.
Cavalli will completely furnish 247 apartments in the Waterbay luxury high-rise. The waterfront units go on sale in January, with prices of up to 2.2 million euros.
The project is the latest in the region for Cavalli which last month said its luxury interiors would be featured in Aykon Hotels by Damac Properties in Dubai.
DICO International, the investment arm of Damac Properties chairman and founder Hussain Sajwani, signed a hospitality partnership with the Roberto Cavalli Group.
Last year, Roberto Cavalli Group and Damac Properties joined forces to launch the world’s first villas featuring Just Cavalli interiors. It marked Roberto Cavalli’s entry into the real estate industry.
Earlier this year, Saudi construction giant Dar Al Arkan announced the launch of the $160 million Mirabilia upscale residential villas which will also boast interiors by the Italian fashion house.
AP quoted CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris as saying that revenues from home furnishings sales have increased to 8 percent from 6 percent of its total in 2016, when the Clessidra private equity fund bought a 89.6 percent stake from founder Roberto Cavalli, who retains the rest.
