MD Properties Dubai founding director Dounia Fadi has been named chief operating officer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gulf Properties, Warren Buffett’s residential brokerage.
In her new position, Fadi will oversee Gulf Properties’ real estate sales staff and will assist company principals Ihsan Husein Al Marzouqi and Phil Sheridan in their daily operations. She brings with her a team of 12 real estate sales advisors and support staff.
Prior to taking on the role at Berkshire Hathaway, Fadi was the founding director of MD properties Dubai. She has nearly 15 years of experience in the industry.
“As we build our brokerage, we look for the very best real estate professionals to help us continue our growth path and establish the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in our market,” Sheridan said.
“We immediately identified with Dounia and her qualities, candor and transparency,” he added. “She has extensive knowledge of the market and a wonderful reputation in the industry.”
Gulf Properties joined the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchise network this April. In a statement, the company said that it plans to triple its advisor count and open a second office in Abu Dhabi within a year.
Fadi said she looks forward to “carrying the weight” of the brand.
“We will help people from around the world buy and sell real estate in Dubai and create new wealth through solid real estate investments,” she added. “It’s our mission to help our clients find new homes and live their dreams.”
