UAE has officially announced a four-day weekend on account of Eid Al-Fitr 2023 for all public and private sector employees in the country.
Travel searches have surged as residents are looking for Eid getaways during the long weekend. India, Saudi Arabia and Thailand are some of the countries that are seeing strong demand.

According to data by Wego, India tops the list of the most searched for countries for travel during the Eid period. Those not seeking to travel internationally are increasingly looking for getaways within the UAE, and staycations are in prime demand.
The UAE has also announced early salaries for the federal sector ahead of Eid Al-Fitr, all government employees will receive their salaries starting April 17. The decision was implemented to ensure that employees and their families enjoy the festive occasion.
The directive comes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
